NORTH TEXAS DISTRICT
Junior Bible Quiz
JBQ stands for Junior Bible Quiz. JBQ = FUN! In a fast-paced race to the buzzer, two competing teams try to win as many points as they can as they answer questions about the Bible and its teachings. All questions and answers come from the official Bible Fact-Pak.
Our 9th annual Pee Wee Invitational will be held Sat., February 7 at Mt. Creek Community Church in Dallas. We would love to have YOUR Pee Wee Junior Bible Quiz team join us for some wonderful fellowship with other young quizzers around North Texas. This invitational meet is specially designed to give the youngest, least experienced Junior Bible quizzers a taste of success while getting to experience a real tournament setting. More information and registration links here.
We are excited to be able to offer a superb training opportunity for every coach in the North Texas District. Coach Jack Spoerner, one of the winning-est coaches in the nation, has put together a set of videos that are sure to help any coach, rookie or veteran, be the best coach they can be. Each church of the North Texas District needs to set aside a full day to watch these videos together. They are guaranteed to help you improve your Junior Bible Quiz ministry. Find out more about this opportunity!
All North Texas District officials must complete an online certification process.
Officials set the tone and keep the order of each quiz match. Well-trained and godly officials can help make a difficult situation much easier. To make sure your officials are well-trained, give each official a copy of the (free!) Official JBQ Guidelines. Then, have each official take the online officials' test* to make sure they can apply the guidelines correctly. Let's set a goal to have the most awesome officials in the country!
*NOTE: You will need to contact your Area Coordinator for the password for the test - OR YOUR SCORES WILL NOT BE SAVED.
If your officials are learning the questions along with the children, then have them take the JBQ Seals tests and register them for the North Texas District's awesome "Circle of the Sword," honoring the best officials around!
Question. Question #1 for 30 points. Is all the Bible inspired?
Answer: 2 Timothy 3:16
"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful
for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness."
That is just one of the nearly 600 questions and answers that children
memorize in order to compete with each other through the ministry of
Junior Bible Quiz. Because we believe that all the Bible is inspired
of God and is useful for training, we are happy to be a part of
this fun-filled, exciting children's ministry.
