NORTH
TEXAS DISTRICT
Junior Bible Quiz
Congratulations to the five North Texas District teams who competed at the National JBQ Festival at The Oaks Fellowship church in Red Oak, Texas on June 10-12, 2010! It was an awesome weekend of competition and our North Texas teams did very well.
Fourth place in the nation for 2010 is our own Master's Mavericks from Abundant Life Church in Grapevine, Texas. Way to go, Grapevine!
North Texas sent four other teams to National Finals this year: Tribulation Force from The Oaks Fellowship (Red Oak) gained the #13 spot, Kingdom Explorers from Mt. Creek Community Church (Dallas) won the #19 spot, Fearsome Foursome from Trinity Church (Cedar Hill) took 24th place, and Swords of the Spirit from Grace Community Church (Flower Mound) came in at 34th place.
Our North Texas individual quizzers did an awesome job this year at Nationals, too! Congratulations to Elle Miller from Trinity, who is now the number 10 quizzer in the nation, followed closely by David Brauchler from Abundant Life at #11, and Samuel Grey from Mt. Creek in the 15th spot. What a great showing, quizzers!
A hearty thanks to The Oaks Fellowship in Red Oak for hosting this year's meet! It is the first National JBQ Festival to take place outside the Great Lakes area - we hope all the teams enjoyed their visit to the Lone Star State.
Question. Question #1 for 30 points. Is all the Bible inspired?
Answer: 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness." (NIV)
That is just one of the 576 questions and answers that children memorize in order to compete with each other through the ministry of Junior Bible Quiz. Because we believe that all the Bible is inspired of God, and is useful for training, we are happy to be a part of this fun-filled, exciting children's ministry.
