Hearty congratulations to our North Texas District Junior Bible Quiz Champions for the 2017-2018 quiz season: TRIPLE THREAT from Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Texas.  This team won eight of their nine rounds in the advanced division and averaged 208.3 points per round, securing the top spot at this year's District Finals.  They will go on to compete at this year's National JBQ Festival held this June in Orlando, Florida. Congratulations, TRIPLE THREAT!

Narrowly missing the top spot was GUARDIANS OF THE GOSPEL from First at Firewheel in Garland, Texas.  They also had an 8/1 record, losing only to TRIPLE THREAT.  Great job, Guardians!

Rounding out the top six teams were: 3 N 1 from Bethesda (Waxahachie) , CIA from the Oaks Fellowship (Red Oak), GREEN KNIGHTS from Trinity (Cedar Hill), all with a 6/3 record, and EXPERT WITNESSES from Freedom Church (Carrollton).

All The Scores

The top six teams from our District Championship have qualified to compete at this year's South Central Regional Finals in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, in April.  At that tournament, up to three of those North Texas District JBQ teams (besides our District Champions) may also earn a spot to join TRIPLE THREAT competing at the National JBQ Festival.

This year's Top Individual was JOY ESCOBAR from 3 N 1 . Joy averaged 101.7 points per round with 4 quiz-outs. Great job, Joy! She and her team will be heading for Regional Finals in April.

JOY ESCOBAR had a big day - she was also the winner of the coveted Master Seal Cup! Wow! That's quite an accomplishment - top individual quizzer and winner of the Master Seal competition. Congrats!

Our Ten Point Cup competition winner was CAMDEN HANEY from GREEN KNIGHTS. Congratulations, Camden! We all know a good 10-point quizzer is often the key to a big win, and you did a fantastic job. Camden and his team will also be competing at Regional Finals in April.

Congratulations to every North Texas quizzer, coach, official, and parent who participated in this year's quiz season.  Not everyone will earn a first-place trophy, but everyone will reap eternal benefits by having made God's Word a big part of their life.  Junior Bible Quiz rocks!
