Q: Please explain the tournament format.
A: Teams will be placed in four fairly balanced preliminary
divisions and will quiz a complete round robin within their
divisions. On Saturday morning, after the preliminary rounds
are finished, the top teams from each prelim division will be placed
into the "Platinum" division, the next teams into the "Gold"
division, the next teams into "Silver", and the remaining teams into
"Bronze." Each of these divisions will then play another
complete round robin.
The winner of the "Platinum" division will be considered the North
Texas District's 2007-2008 champion. That team and the teams
in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place in the "Platinum" division will be
qualified to compete at the
South Central Region's JBQ Finals in
April.

Q: What is the schedule for the tournament?
A: Team check-in is Friday at 5:00 p.m. We will have an
opening ceremony and prayer, followed by several quiz rounds in our
preliminary divisions. On Saturday morning, we will finish our
round robin and take a short break and take a group photograph while
the scores are tabulated.
As soon as the teams are placed into their final divisions, the
medal rounds will begin. Platinum and Gold divisions will quiz
a few rounds, then eat lunch first and go back to quizzing while the
Silver and Bronze divisions eat their lunch. All divisions
should finish quizzing at about the same time.
All Bible Master quizzers may participate in the head-to-head
competition that will take place while the scores are tabulated and
verified. After the conclusion of the Bible Master
championship, our awards ceremony will begin.
Here is a more detailed schedule.
