OFFICIALS

Well-trained, godly officials set the tone and keep the order for each JBQ quiz meet.

Every North Texas District official at every level should understand the official JBQ Guidelines and be able to serve as judge, timekeeper, or scorekeeper at meets. Below are the resources that will help your team succeed.

GUIDELINES

Both new and experienced JBQ officials need to read through the Official Guidelines before District Finals. Every offiical is required to bring a set of the guidelines to District Finals. Download and print here.

For PEE WEES ONLY - we have an additional set of guidelines for working with our littlest lamb. Please print this sheet as well.

SCOREKEEPING

ALL District Finals officials (for either the District Championship or the Beginner/Pee Wee Finals) should be prepared to keep score during a match. We are using a software program called EZscore which runs on a tablet or laptop.

It's very easy to keep score using this software. Please watch the short instructional videos before coming to District Finals.

CERTIFICATION

North Texas District officials are some of the best in the nation and we want to keep it that way! All our officials are required to pass the online certification test once every two years.

You may use your Official Guidelines as you take this test.

IMPORTANT! At the end of the test, you must type your first and last name FOLLOWED BY YOUR AREA or your score will not be sent to our district. Example: Mary Smith, Denton -or- Jose Garza, Fort Worth
