What an amazing time we all had at the 2012 JBQ Bowl! God's presence was evident in every room, and the fellowship among all the quizzers, coaches, and officials was wonderful. Check out all the scores here!
Hearty congratulations goes out to the Light to the Nations team from Mt. Creek Community Church in Dallas, Texas. They battled their way through eight tough rounds of play to end up in first place. In second place was the Word Warriors team from Grace Community Church in Flower Mound, Texas. Both teams ended up with a 7-1 record and the tie was broken during their head-to-head round. Third place went to the Quiz Kids from Dripping Springs UMC, Dripping Springs, Texas.
Our top place individual was Madi Rawlings from the Word Warriors team, averaging over 125 points per round. Isaac Grey from the Light to the Nations team was a very close second, with less than 4 points per round separating these two amazing quizzers. David Hipshire from the Tribulation Force team from The Oaks Fellowship in Red Oak, Texas was our third place quizzer.
Not to be outdone, our 10-point quizzers were pretty fantastic, too! Reece Skinner of the Quiz Kids team from Dripping Springs UMC was our top individual, followed by Eli Saentz from the Fireball Twisters of Bethesda Assembly of God in Waxahachie, Texas, and Brady Coleman of Tribulation Force of The Oaks Fellowship.
This year's JBQ Attitude Award went to Chloé Brown from the Transformed team from First at Firewheel church in Wylie, Texas.
It looks like the North Texas District will be ready for some rough and tumble competition at our District Finals in March. Let's pray for these teams as they prepare for that fun meet.
