Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth."
2 Timothy 2:15 NIV
In Junior Bible Quiz, our children study hard. They learn more than 100 direct quotations from the Bible and over 500 other questions and answers about church history, doctrine, and other Biblical truths. Our children are learning to "correctly handle the word of truth" in JBQ!
Although they must study hard to master 576 questions and answers, our quizzers have lots of fun, too! Click on the links above to see our current schedule and team rankings. If you're interested in finding out more about Junior Bible Quiz, contact our area coordinator, Rebecca Parker, 903-836-4740.
The 2009-2010 regular season has ended, but the fun continues! Check out our scores from League Finals! And good luck to the teams moving on to the North Texas District Championship in March.
Officials set the tone and keep the order of each quiz match. Well-trained and godly officials can help make a difficult situation much easier. To make sure your officials are well-trained, give each official a copy of the (free!) Official JBQ Guidelines. Then, have each official take the online officials' test* to make sure they can apply the guidelines correctly. Let's set a goal to have the most awesome officials in the country!
*NOTE: You will need to contact Rebecca Parker for the password for the test - OR YOUR SCORES WILL NOT BE SAVED.
If your officials are learning the questions along with the children, then have them take the JBQ Seals tests and register them for the North Texas District's awesome "Circle of the Sword," honoring the best officials around!
Believe it or not, it's time to begin planning for District Finals already! This year's championship meet will be held March 26 & 27 at Lakeshore Church in Rockwall, Texas. We expect scores of teams from around the North Texas district to attend this thrilling meet and we are busily planning to make this the best District Finals ever.
This championship tournament is open to both ADVANCED teams and 10-point BEGINNER teams. Please note the definition of "10-point" teams:
*All 10 point teams must have competed exclusively in
10-Point Divisions this season.
*All quizzers on 10 point teams must have spent their quiz year entirely in the 10 point (beginner) division. (They cannot move back down from higher divisions for the district meet.)
Check out all details at the 2010 District Finals website.
Please join us in congratulating the Northeast area quizzers who have earned Bible Seals in the Bible Master program. Here is the
list of quizzers for 2010.
