Wow! There was intense competition in Austin, Texas on March 31 & April 1, 2006, as the top 24 teams from the North Texas District gathered for the North Texas District Championship. Heartiest congratulations to the team which rose to the top - The Quiz Kids from Dripping Springs United Methodist Church of Dripping Springs, Texas! They have qualified to compete at The National JBQ Festival in Kenosha, Wisconsin on June 7 - 9, 2007.

Proving how equally matched the top teams from North Texas truly are, there was a five-way tie for second place! Any one of those teams would do well at National Finals this year. However, the recent ruling that only four teams from each district may advance to National competition means that the season has ended for two of those remarkable teams.

The top four teams from the North Texas District have earned the right to compete at the South Central Regional Finals on April 27 & 28 at Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, TX. At Regional Finals, the top five teams (who have not already qualified for Nationals) will then be qualified to compete at National Finals. Congratulations to these teams advancing to Regional Finals:
