COMPETITON

Any Advanced or Intermediate level team from any district or region may compete at the Lone Star JBQ Invitational.  Competition will be challenging, as many of the teams are regular National JBQ Festival attendees - often placing in the top tier.

FORMAT

Quizzing will be over entire JBQ Fact-Pak. Each division will play one complete round robin. Ties between teams will be broken by head-to-head competition. Individual ties will be broken by number of quiz-outs.

AWARDS

In each division, there will be awards for:

• The top 3 teams
• The top 3 individual quizzers (all-pointers)
• The top 3 ten-point quizzers*
  • *90% of quizzer's points must come from 10-point questions

SCHEDULE

Please arrive for team check-in at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday. After the opening orientation, we will begin quizzing at 9:00 a.m. We will quiz until the round robin is finished on Saturday.

SUPPLIES

Each team should supply:

• One working quiz box
• One extension cord
• One experienced quizmaster
• One other well-qualified official (score/time/judge)
• Copy of 2021 updated Official Guidelines for each official and quizmaster

LUNCH

We are offering Chick-fil-A lunches (a sandwich or 8 nuggets) for $8.00.

Concessions stand with non-sugary snacks and water bottles will be also available throughout the day.

CHILDCARE

No childcare is available this year.
